Lymph Drainage Tea is a carefully formulated botanical blend designed to support the natural movement and balance of the lymphatic system. Using traditional lymph-supportive herbs, this tea encourages gentle drainage, fluid regulation, and whole-body cleansing.

This formula is especially suited for times of stagnation, swelling, or heaviness, and is traditionally used to support immune balance, circulation, and elimination pathways. When prepared as a decoction, the herbs release their deeper plant constituents, resulting in a robust, earthy tea intended for intentional, therapeutic use.

Crafted with organic, non-GMO herbs and prepared in small batches, this tea reflects classic herbal practice focused on movement, balance, and restoration.

Additional Notes:

  • Traditional lymph-supportive tea

  • Best prepared as a decoction

  • Earthy, robust flavor profile

  • Lymphatic massage is highly recommended during detoxification to enhance lymph flow and improve overall results.

How to Prepare: Medicinal Herbal Tea Decoction

Roots, barks, seeds, and dense plant material require a decoction rather than a simple tea in order to fully extract their healing constituents. Gentle simmering allows the water to penetrate the plant fibers and draw out minerals, alkaloids, and other therapeutic compounds that are not released through steeping alone. For best absorption, take on an empty stomach and wait 10–15 minutes before eating.

Herbal Decoction:

  • Add 1 tablespoon of loose tea blend to 8 ounces of water

  • Cover and gently simmer on low heat for 10 minutes

  • Remove from heat and steep, covered, for an additional 10 minutes

  • Remove pulp and your decoction is complete

Directions:

Prepare a strong herbal tea decoction, as above.

Drink up to 2 cups per day for 14 days to stimulate lymph flow and movement. Rest for one week and see how your lymph continues to flow. Repeat the cycle if movement slows back down and symptoms return. Do not exceed 3 months of use without consulting your medical herbalist for enhanced treatment.

Intended for short-term or cyclical use

Optional Enhancements:

  • Fresh ginger may be added during the simmering phase for additional warming and digestive support

  • Sweeten to taste with honey or maple syrup if desired

  • Enjoy hot or cold

  • Consider making larger batches and sip throughout the day

Individualized Support:

Those experiencing persistent stagnant lymph, or lymphedema, may benefit from extended use at lower amounts. Personalized protocols are best discussed with a qualified herbal practitioner.

What to Expect:

During the first weeks of use, the lymphatic system may increase movement and toxic backup may increase as a result. A temporary detox response (sometimes referred to as a Herxheimer-style response) may occur if detoxification happens too quickly and toxins build up in the lymphatic system. If symptoms feel uncomfortable, reduce the amount or frequency of use until the body stabilizes.

Common, Temporary Responses May Include

  • Mild fatigue or heaviness as stagnant lymph begins to move

  • Increased urination or bowel movements

  • Temporary swelling reduction followed by brief fluid shifting

  • Increased perspiration or body odor

  • Mild headaches or a “flu-like” detox feeling

  • Tenderness in lymph node areas (neck, armpits, groin)

  • These responses are generally short-lived and tend to lessen as lymphatic flow improves and balance is restored.

When to Discontinue Use & Seek Medical Care:

  • Fever

  • Severe or worsening lymph node pain

  • Red, hot, or rapidly enlarging lymph nodes

  • Persistent swelling that does not improve

  • Signs of infection or systemic illness

Do Not Use:

If diagnosed with lymphatic cancer.

Storage & Handling:

Store tea blend in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep container tightly sealed to preserve freshness and potency.
