Kidney & Bladder Cleanse Tea is a thoughtfully formulated botanical blend designed to support the natural cleansing and flushing functions of the urinary system. Using time-honored herbs traditionally associated with kidney and bladder wellness, this tea encourages healthy fluid movement and elimination while supporting overall balance.

This gentle yet effective formula is commonly used during times of stagnation, heaviness, or seasonal cleansing to support urinary comfort and clarity. When prepared as a decoction, the herbs release deeper plant constituents, creating a nourishing, earthy tea intended for intentional, short-term use.

Crafted with organic, non-GMO botanicals and prepared in small batches, this tea reflects traditional herbal practice focused on cleansing, balance, and restoration.

Additional Notes:

  • Gentle, non-stimulating formula

  • Supports fluid balance and elimination

  • Suitable for periodic cleansing

How to Prepare: Medicinal Herbal Tea Decoction

Roots, barks, seeds, and dense plant material require a decoction rather than a simple tea in order to fully extract their healing constituents. Gentle simmering allows the water to penetrate the plant fibers and draw out minerals, alkaloids, and other therapeutic compounds that are not released through steeping alone. For best absorption, take on an empty stomach and wait 10–15 minutes before eating.

Herbal Decoction:

  • Add 1 tablespoon of loose tea blend to 8 ounces of water

  • Cover and gently simmer on low heat for 10 minutes

  • Remove from heat and steep, covered, for an additional 10 minutes

  • Remove pulp and your decoction is complete

Directions: Initial Cleansing Phase

  • Prepare a strong decoction

  • Drink 1 cup per day for the first two days. If well tolerated, increase up to twice per day. If feeling of urgency or urinary pressure increases, decrease dose back down and continue at a tolerable dose with goal to titrate back up again.

  • Continue until the 4-ounce bag is finished (approximately 15 days)

Ongoing or Maintenance Use

  • After completing the initial phase, reduce to 1 cup per day

  • Continue for 30–60 days, or as guided by a herbal practitioner

Optional Enhancements:

  • Fresh ginger may be added during the simmering phase for additional warming and digestive support

  • Sweeten to taste with honey or maple syrup if desired

  • Enjoy warm or chilled

  • Consider making larger batches and sip throughout the day

Individualized Support:

Those experiencing persistent urinary discomfort or long-standing renal imbalance may benefit from extended use at lower amounts. Personalized protocols are encouraged for those with unique conditions with a qualified herbal practitioner.

What to Expect:

During the first weeks of use, the renal system (kidneys & bladder) may increase movement and lymphatic drainage will increase as a result. A temporary detox response (sometimes referred to as a Herxheimer-style response) may occur if detoxification happens too quickly and toxins build up in the lymphatic system. If symptoms feel uncomfortable, reduce the amount or frequency of use until the body stabilizes.

Common, Temporary Responses May Include

  • Mild fatigue or heaviness as stagnant lymph begins to move

  • Increased urination or bowel movements

  • Temporary swelling reduction followed by brief fluid shifting

  • Increased perspiration or body odor

  • Mild headaches or a “flu-like” detox feeling

  • Tenderness in lymph node areas (neck, armpits, groin)

  • These responses are generally short-lived and tend to lessen as lymphatic flow improves and balance is restored.

Use Lymph Drainage Tea to aide in reducing these symptoms or if sensitive to detoxification

When to Discontinue Use & Seek Medical Care:

  • Fever

  • Severe or worsening lymph node pain

  • Red, hot, or rapidly enlarging lymph nodes

  • Persistent swelling that does not improve

  • Signs of infection or systemic illness

Do Not Use:

Please see medical herbalist for individualized protocol if you have been diagnosed with kidney or bladder cancer, or if you are on dialysis.

Storage & Handling:

Store tea blend in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep container tightly sealed to preserve freshness and potency.
